This is a baby quilt made from one huge crooked log cabin block. I started out with a little fusible applique neighborhood block, and then started sewing crooked logs around it. I discovered that the bigger the quilt top got, the straighter the logs had to be attached. By the time I got to the outermost logs, they were quite straight. I named the quilt top “Around the Block I” and hope to feature it in a future book.
One of my daughter-in-laws picked out this quilt top for their new baby Annabelle. Annabelle’s older brother was excited to help me with my photo shoot!
