We have been stranded at home because of the big snow storm, and thankfully, we still have electricity! So I have been sewing non-stop for two days, it has been great!
Last year I made a quilt for my granddaughter Annabelle, and named it “Around the Block”. Yesterday I made another one.
This is basically just one large crooked log cabin block, surrounding a fusible applique block. I love making crooked log cabins! And it is so fun deciding on the fabric for each log. I used a lot of Kaffe Fassett fabrics, along with many others. I really like that huge flower print on the left side, and think I am going to use that fabric for the backing when I finally quilt it.
