Since I was snowed in for the last two days, I amazed myself and got the “Around the Block II” quilt top done, and then started on my grandson’s 8-year-old birthday quilt. I need to get this quilt done by June, and so I just dived in and started making the letters of his name, “THOMAS”.
Notice I started on the last letter of his name, I have no explanation of why I started at the end.
I had no plan, I just cut out the fabric pictures and sewed them kind of freeform to get the shape. I am sure the “T”, “H”, “M”, and “A” will be easier, since they are made of straight lines. The “O” is going to be tricky like the “S” was.
This letter is about 12″ tall.
