I have the bug to use up fabric scraps, so I made some little tissue holders using my serger.
Here is the first one I made out of some random scraps.
Here are 4 examples of the first step. Each one is a 6 inch patchwork square, created out of whatever small pieces I had.
Cut two strips 2 inch wide by 6 inch long. Fold them in half and press them, so they are 1″ wide. One at a time, place raw edges along a side, and serge them onto the side of the 6″ square. Repeat on the opposite side.
Fold those two sides in, and serge across the ends.
Then sew a little triangle on each corner. (If you don’t do this, the packet is just flat. These triangles will make the packet more three-dimensional.)
In this photo, I hope you can see the little triangles sticking out, so you will know where I sewed them.
Turn it right sides out.
and fill them each with a little tissue packet. Here are several.
