PLACES QUILTERS SHOULD VISIT IN THE TRIANGLE

(This list was put together in 2002 by Julie Mullin, and then I added some more of my favorite places to her list. Some things probably need to be added or subtracted by now, but I will post it on my website as is until I can update it later. “The Triangle” is the area of Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Cary, North Carolina. --- Amy, June 2003)

APEX

Plain and Simple Quilt Shop: A cute new quilt shop which opened about 2006. Located in an old farmhouse (don't you just love to see the architecture and fireplaces and room arrangements of an old house?) and filled with beautiful fabric, and tempting patterns side-by-side with finished projects, all arranged in clever themed groupings. I wandered from Christmas fabric, to hand-dyed felted wool, to cottage pastels, to retro fifties, to Civil War reproductions. What fun! They are located at 1510 N. Salem St. Apex, NC. 919-303-6176.
